Handling Difficult Times – Meet Our Guest 

Dr. Olaolu Micheal has his first degree in Agricultural Economics and Extension from the Kogi State University. His drive and great interest in research and knowledge saw him through his Masters Degree from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka; a stride Dr. Olaolu made within the stipulated 18months from the Department of Agricultural Extension with specialty in Agricultural Programme Planning and Evaluation in the year 2011. 

Not satisfied with that, Michael proceeded for his Ph.D. which he enrolled for late 2012. With focus and persistence Dr. Olaolu concluded his Ph.D. programme by July, 2016. At the 46th Convocation of the University of Nigeria Dr. Olaolu Michael Olatunji was the only Ph.D. graduate from the Department of Agricultural Extension.

Dr. Olaolu’s interest in research ranges from Poverty Reduction, Food Security, Programme Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Livelihood dynamics among rural people and e- agricultural extension. He is a member of several professional bodies and has participated in several conferences where he presented papers. 

His leadership experiences has ran through several years from his secondary school to the university where he served first as the leader of the Brothers’ Forum of the FCS, KSU, two terms president of the fellowship as well as the Kogi State Coordinator and national POSEC coordinator.

At the University of Nigeria Nsukka he served as the General Secretary of the Graduate Students Fellowship (GSF) for the 2008/2009 academic session among several other positions of responsibility held at the Lion’s Den, UNN.

Currently Dr. OlaOlu is the State and Area Vice Chairman of the FCS in Enugu State and South East, respectively as well as one of the coordinators of the Leadership Forum of the Chapel of His Resurrection, Enugu State University of Science and Technology Teaching Hospital Parklane Enugu, Enugu State.

He is happily married to Mrs. Tochi Amara Olaolu and the marriage is blessed with two sons (Toby and Shekinah Olaolu). He speaks Hausa, Yoruba and English languages fluently.
