Welcome to the fourth part of the “Unfortunate Sailor’s” series. In part two and three we talked about how you can identify wasters in your life, career, and business.
Today we will talk about what not to do with the wasters after recognizing them.
“Pick me up and throw me into the sea,” he replied, “and it will become calm. I know that it is my fault that this great storm has come upon you. Instead, the men did their best to row back to land. But they could not, for the sea grew even wilder than before.
One thing you should not do with the wasters is to try to accommodate them, change them or even struggle to move forward with them. It will be a futile effort.
“Then they took Jonah and threw him overboard, and the raging sea grew calm.”Jonah 1:15 NIV.
Now, when you eventually find out the Jonah, the only option you have to calm the sea is to throw him out of the ship. Don’t behave like the sailors who tried to pamper Jonah, even after identifying him. Does that mean he should become your enemy? Not really! It simply means he should not be included in your inner caucus. Do not romance Jonah! if you need a smooth sail, throw him out.
