THE MAKING OF A SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR – Part 5

You need to be “CRAZY”

Yes, I mean CRAZY. You need to be “crazy” to be a successful entrepreneur, because you have to think and act outside the box sometimes. Come to think of it, if it’s going to be so simple to solve, why would anyone pay you to solve it for them, when they would rather do it themselves?

A lot of people are going to tell you that you are out of your mind; don’t worry. It was Steve Jobs that said: “Those who are crazy enough to think they can change the world usually do.” You are going to sometimes look irrational, but that’s ok. To borrow the words of Neta Frankel Hanien on Ted Talk, “Sometimes, I am actually ‘#merrational,’ not irrational as people think.”

You are going to hear “It will not work” by people who have done nothing about it before. They just sit in one place and conclude. You will need to be crazy enough to work on your idea. Note that your crazy ideas may not work every time, but, at least, you’ve validated the fact that it will not work by doing it.

Let’s look at the next thing that makes a successful entrepreneur in the next part of the series.

Join us in the next part of the series as we look at another thing that makes a successful entrepreneur.
